We’ve not done an evening like it before, make sure your reports are spot on when submitting to CFA. Referees playing their part in RESPECT and learning their trade is priority.
Report writing is another tool in your toolbox and every bit as important as your whistle. Everyone Welcome
We have a duty of care to the game and all other referees to get our match reports spot on. #inthistogether
Sheffield RA on the radio
On Friday 3rd March, Chairman Simon Hall and committee member Steve Clayton were interviewed on BBC Radio Sheffield regarding the referee strike. Listen to the full interview here
Proposed possible changes discussed at the last meeting RESPECT Moving Forward
Congratulations to Member Stacey Hall on her first International Appointment.
Family and mentee went to watch was a good game in blustery conditions.
Sheffield are proud of her and how far she’s come with great help and support from more experienced officials.
Sheffield RA have made contact with Sheffield and Hallamshire FA regards the impending referee strike. We have supplied the Sheffield and Hallamshire with the results of the recent survey which can be found below and offered our support to prevent the strike happening. The committee at Sheffield RA do not support strike action and believe that the changes requested and implemented by Manchester FA are suffice to start rebuilding the forgotten RESPECT campaign and start protecting officials at grassroots football and allowing them time to develop like the players they officiate for.
16th February 2017 Next Sheffield RA meeting:
7.30pm Carlton Club, Gleadless
How prepared for your game are you?
Thursday 17th Feb, will be a packed evening a must for all referees.
The first part of the evening will be simple tips and guidance to improve your game, something for all referees.
Tips all referees can use and feel the difference in their game from the off.
Second part will be #lovethewhistle , as referees what do we want? With the impending referee strike what is an alternative?, what changes do people want instigated? Referee Strike UK have already started the questions, and some are clearly supported.
We will then compose all ideas and send to National RA / FA , REF SUPPORT UK for use when they meet to improve the beautiful game. #workingtogether #lovethewhistle
